Wine blogger Brodie Vissers falls in love with Merul Reserve Mavrud
Brodie Vissers is a blogger and traveler exploring drinks around the world and their role for different cultures. In one of the episodes on his YouTube channel, which has gathered over 15,000 loyal followers, he dives into the history of the Thracian winemaking tradition in the heart of Kapana, Plovdiv. The wine chosen this time by the taster belongs to the Merul Reserve red wine series of Rumelia wine cellar, namely: Merul Reserve Mavrud 2021.
Mavrud is perhaps the most emblematic and ancient red grape variety in Bulgaria. In the full-bodied, rich texture of the wine, Brodie discovers nuances of dried plums and black pepper, combined with the delicate aroma of oak barrels in which the wine has aged for 12 months.
We thank Brodie Vissers for his genuine and honest review and believe that the wines of Rumelia wine cellar will continue to attract more connoisseurs and visitors to the ancient city of Plovdiv!
