Wine-cellar “Rumelia” was established in 2006
in the town of Panagyurishte. One of the most
bright symbols of the town is the world-famous
golden treasure of Panagyurishte – an unique
record of the ancient Thracian civilization.
Thracians were known as famous and skilful
masters of wine which was testified by Homer.
Wine-cellar “Rumelia” highly appreciates the
orthodox traditions from the past in the art
and mystery of wine-production, enriches them
with the knew achievements and seeks the
uniqueness of its trade mark that gives the wine
own unique character, refined style and particular
charm, makes the wine demanded and special.
Wine-cellar “Rumelia” follows the traditions and the inspiration of the ancient wine
masters over
the Bulgarian lands. The vine cellar has a production department, an
underground cellar for casks,
a bottling line, a laboratory, a cosy sample room and
unique atmosphere in which guests can feel
that wine production is an art,
the wine is a magic and “Rumelia” wines - a real delight.
Wine-cellar “Rumelia” processes qualitative grapes which gathered the sunbeams of
Golden Thrace-precondition and guarantee for the high standard of the offered wines.
The cellar is equipped with modern technology for production of elite red wines whose style and refinement are due to the strict quality control of every lot of grapes. The capacity of the
cellar allows to be processed about 600-700 tons of grapes and to be produced about
400-500 thousand bottles of wine per year. The underground cellar has a capacity of
1000 barrels made of French, American and Bulgarian oak.
Winecellar “Rumelia” has focused its efforts in developing and
offering small series of highquality wines.
