From ancient times wine is reputable over the Bulgarian
lands. The blessed liquid that preserved the warmth of
the sun and the earth accompanies the life of the
Bulgarians through the centuries. “May God give his
blessing to the hand that planted the vine and to the
master who made the wine” – the Bulgarian blesses
the divine life-giving liquid and skilfully makes wine
with desire from hoary antiquity, officiates with it,
makes it part of his culture and his life.
Wine-cellar “Rumelia” owns 60 hectares wine
massifs on the land of Smilets village which is
close to the town of Panagyurishte in the
heart of fertile Thrace. Vine plantations
consist of the wine sorts Mavrud,
Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot, Syrah.
