The red wine Rumelia Mavrud Reserve 2013 won the Grand Trophy of the 6thedition of the Balkans International Wine Competition (BIWC 2017) for best wine. BIWC 2017 took place on 1th to 4th of June 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this competition can take part wine producers of Balkan Peninsula, Black Sea region, East and Central Europe as well other regions in Europe.

For the first time a local variety is awarded with this prize. This is a big recognition not only for the winery itself, but for the Bulgarian wine too and specifically for the Mavrud variety. The efforts of our team of viticulturists and winemakers gave their result. The trophy is a reflection of our attitude and love which we involve in every grape and every drop of wine.
